What this feature does and when to use it?

The Recruit CRM Chrome Extension is a plugin for Chromium-based browsers that lets you source candidates, contacts, and companies directly from supported platforms into Recruit CRM with just one click!

Before you begin:

Please note:

  • The Chrome Extension works only on Chromium-based browsers, including Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave browser, etc.

  • The feature is available on all plans (free/pro/business/enterprise).

  • The compatible platforms for the Recruit CRM Chrome Extension are LinkedIn, LinkedIn Recruiter, Recruiter Lite, Sales Navigator, Outlook, ZoomInfo, Xing, Xing Talent Manager, Indeed, Naukri Recruitment Management System, Naukri Resdex, Seek, and HH.RU (HeadHunter Russia). Our extension is designed to enhance productivity and save you valuable time.

  • Chrome Extension on Seek: The Chrome Extension is also compatible with Seek. However, please ensure that the extension is updated to the latest version (v3.2.8 or later) and it will only function on the following page: talent.seek.com.au/candidates

When adding candidates, the work and education history will be parsed from the resume if one is attached to the candidate’s profile using the resume parser. If no resume is attached, the system will instead parse this information from the details available on the candidate’s profile. The extension currently works only with specific filters available on the page-

  • Chrome Extension on Xing: The extension fetches both work and education history when sourcing profiles from Xing to capture more detailed candidate information.

🌐 How to set up the Recruit CRM Chrome Extension?

1. The first step is to download the Recruit CRM Chrome extension from the Google Webstore.

2. Next, you'll need to pin the extension to your browser for easy access.

To ensure the Chrome extension works properly, it's important to have third-party cookies enabled. Please check out this article for guidance on enabling them to ensure the extension functions as intended:

®️ How to use the Recruit CRM Chrome extension?

1. Once the extension is pinned, you can start sourcing candidates/contacts/companies by clicking the R button when you're on any profile page.

2. The extension will parse the information and you can add/edit details, and perform follow-up actions on the records such as adding notes, tasks, and meetings, assigning them to jobs, or adding them to hotlists.

Note: The Work and Education history will not be displayed on the extension upfront, but once the candidate is saved, the data will be shown inside Recruit CRM under the Work and Education History section.

Also, Work & Education History and Skills of the candidate will be parsed/added only if "Save LinkedIn Resume" is checked.

3. Once you click "Save", the record will be added to your Recruit CRM database.

Note: After you save a candidate/contact/company using the Chrome extension, our Resume Parser runs in the background and updates the details within 1-3 minutes after the profile is saved.

When the Chrome Extension detects that a candidate, company, or contact already exists in your Recruit CRM database, a pop-up notification will appear at the top of the extension indicating that the record already exists. The notification will also show the record owner and provide an option to view the existing record in Recruit CRM.

For example:

Company Recruit CRM Already Exists In Your Database (Owner: John Doe). View In Recruit CRM.

If the record already exists in your Recruit CRM database, we just update empty fields on Recruit CRM with the new information captured by the extension.

However, if the "Override Data" toggle is enabled in the Chrome Extension settings, then all the existing information in Recruit CRM will be overridden by the new information captured by the extension.

To access the Chrome Extension settings and find the 'Override Data' toggle, click on the Chrome Extension icon in your browser toolbar, then click on the gear/settings icon within the extension's pop-up window.

Note: A candidate’s current organization will always be updated with the latest data when sourcing via the Chrome Extension, even if the Override Data toggle is turned off. This ensures users never miss the most up-to-date employer information.

🎥 Here's a tutorial on how to use the Chrome Extension on LinkedIn!

Automatic company linking for Candidates and Contacts

You can enable the Save Candidate as Contact option while saving a LinkedIn profile using the Recruit CRM Chrome Extension. When this option is selected, both a Candidate record and a Contact record are created for the same LinkedIn profile, and the system automatically links both records to the same associated Company during creation.

This works for:

  • Existing Companies already available in Recruit CRM

  • Companies that are automatically created when the Auto-create Company setting is enabled in Admin Settings

Please note: On the Chrome extension, the "Current Organization" field for candidates and contacts is a searchable field instead of plain text.

As you type, it will show matching existing companies to select from, so the candidate/contact gets linked to the right company automatically.

In case of candidates, if no match is found, your typed text is used to create a new company on save (based on your account's "Auto-create Company for Candidate's Current Organization from Extension" setting under Account Settings).

🎯 How to Use the Click To Parse Feature on the Chrome Extension

The Click to Parse feature allows you to quickly capture and parse profile details without opening the candidate/contact/company profile!

When enabled, you will see a small “R” button on the profile picture. This button lets you instantly extract information and add it to Recruit CRM without manual entry or clicking on the profile.

To use this feature, simply click on the small "R" button visible near their profile picture, and the system will extract details like name, email, phone number, and other available information in the same manner the extension usually does on individual profiles.

It will create or update the information in your database accordingly.

You can turn this feature on or off from the Recruit CRM Chrome Extension settings. If you do not see the option on a profile, make sure the "Click To Parse" toggle is enabled in your extension settings.
