Recruit Craft lets you delete a custom domain connection for your career page at any stage, whether you are still setting it up or it is already fully connected and live.
Use this feature when you want to:
Start over if you run into a problem while connecting a domain.
Remove a custom domain you no longer want to use for your career page.
Free up a domain or subdomain so you can connect a different one.
When you can delete a domain
You can delete a custom domain connection at any point during the setup process or after it has been fully connected.
During setup: If you run into a problem while configuring the domain, you can delete the connection without completing the setup first and start again.
After setup: Even after a domain has been fully connected and verified, you can delete it at any time.
How to Delete a Domain
When you delete a custom domain, Recruit Craft removes the domain connection from your account. This does not affect the DNS records configured with your domain provider.
In Recruit Craft, go to Custom Domain from the panel on the left.
Locate the custom domain integration you want to remove on the page, then click the Delete button in the bottom corner of the integration. A confirmation prompt will appear asking you to enter the domain name you want to delete.
Select Delete Domain. You'll see a message confirming that the deletion process has begun. Please do not refresh the page while the domain is being deleted.
The deletion may take a few seconds to process. Once it is complete, you'll see a Domain deleted successfully message to confirm.
Please note
Deleting a domain in Recruit Craft removes the connection on the Recruit Craft side only. It does not remove the CNAME records you added with your domain provider. If you no longer need those records, you must remove them separately from your domain provider.
After you delete a domain
After the custom domain is deleted, your career page will no longer be available at that custom domain. It will remain accessible through its default Recruit Craft URL until you connect another custom domain.
You can start the custom domain connection process again at any time, either with the same domain or with a different one.
