Recruit Craft allows you to connect a custom subdomain to your career page so candidates can access your jobs using your own domain. This helps maintain your company’s branding and makes your career page feel like a natural extension of your main website.
Once connected, your Recruit Craft career page will be accessible through your chosen subdomain (for example, careers.youragency.com), while still being fully managed inside Recruit Craft.
⚙️ How to connect your custom domain?
Follow these steps to connect your domain to Recruit Craft:
1. Open Custom Domain Settings
Open your Recruit Craft account and click the Custom Domain option from the left-hand navigation panel to begin the setup process.
2. Enter your custom domain in Recruit Craft
Provide the subdomain you want to use for your career page and re-enter it again to verify and avoid errors.
Example:
careers.youragency.com
Once done, click on Connect. Recruit Craft then begins processing the request and prepares the configuration needed for the connection.
Please note
The custom domain entered should match your default Jobs Page URL.
3. Copy the generated CNAME records
Recruit Craft will automatically generate two CNAME records required for the domain connection.
You will receive an email notification once the CNAME records are ready.
At this stage, the connection status will appear as In Progress, indicating that the domain configuration is still being set up.
4. Add the CNAME records in your DNS provider
Log in to your domain provider (for example, GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Namecheap, or others) and add the CNAME records provided by Recruit Craft.
These records connect your chosen subdomain with your Recruit Craft career page.
5. Wait for DNS verification
Once the DNS records are added, Recruit Craft will automatically verify the configuration.
During this time, the connection status will continue to show In Progress until the records are detected and validated.
After verification is successful, the status will change to Completed, and your career page will start working through your custom domain.
DNS propagation may take a few minutes to several hours, depending on your domain provider.
