What this feature does and when to use it?
Assigned a candidate to the wrong job? Recruit CRM lets you quickly unassign candidates from a job to keep your hiring pipeline accurate and organized. Unassigning a candidate removes the association between that candidate and the selected job, preventing further progress tracking for a role they should no longer be part of.
Use this feature when:
A candidate was assigned to the wrong job by mistake.
You want to clean up a job's candidate pipeline.
You need to remove multiple candidates from the same job at once.
You can:
Unassign a single candidate directly from a job's candidate pipeline.
Unassign multiple candidates from the same job in bulk.
Unassign a candidate from a job through the candidate's profile.
Step-by-step instructions to Unassign Candidates
Choose the method that fits your situation: unassign one candidate from a job's pipeline, unassign several at once, unassign from a candidate's own profile, or use the steps below if you're on the older interface.
Method 1: Unassign a single candidate from a job
Open the Job from which the candidate needs to be unassigned.
Scroll down to the Candidate Pipeline section.
Locate the candidate to be removed from the job.
Click on the 3 dots right next to the candidate's name and click on the Unassign Candidate option.
When the confirmation dialog appears, review the message and click Unassign to complete the action.
The candidate will be removed from the selected job while remaining available in Recruit CRM for assignment to other jobs.
Method 2: Unassign multiple candidates from a job
Open the required Job.
Scroll down to the Candidate Pipeline section and click View All Candidates to open the complete list of all the assigned candidates to the job.
Select the candidates to unassign by clicking the checkbox next to each candidate.
Click the Unassign Candidate from Job button at the top.
Review the confirmation message and click Unassign.
The selected candidates will be unassigned from the job simultaneously.
Method 3: Unassign a candidate from the Candidate profile
Open the required Candidate profile.
Scroll down to the Assigned Jobs tab.
Locate the job from which the candidate needs to be unassigned.
Click the More options (⋮) next to the job.
Select Unassign Candidate.
Review the confirmation message and click Unassign.
The candidate will immediately be removed from that job while remaining associated with any other assigned jobs.
Method 4: Unassign Candidate from Jobs in the Old UI
1. Open the job profile and scroll down to the "Candidate Pipeline" section.
2. Hover your cursor over the candidate you wish to unassign.
3. Click on the "X" icon that appears in the top-right corner and hit the "Unassign" button.
Note: This method applies to accounts still using the older Recruit CRM interface.
