What this feature does and when to use it?
This article explains how to delete records in Recruit CRM, both individually and in bulk, along with the permissions required and how to manage bulk action options on list pages.
The delete functionality allows Account Owners and Admins to permanently remove records that are no longer needed. You can delete a single record from its profile/details page or remove multiple records at once using bulk actions from the list page. You can also customize which bulk actions are available and how they appear, helping you manage records more efficiently.
Please Note
Deletion is permanent. Records that are deleted cannot be recovered. There is no undo option, so review your selection carefully before confirming.
Only Account Owners and Admins can delete records by default. Users on the Team Member and Restricted Team Member role do not have permission to delete records.
Deletion applies to Candidate, Contact, Company, Job, and Deal records.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Delete an Individual Record:
1. Navigate to the profile of the Candidate, Contact, Company, Job or Deal you want to delete.
2. Click the ellipses icon (...) located at the top of the profile page.
3. Select Delete from the dropdown menu that appears.
4. A confirmation pop-up will appear. Enter the number of records you are deleting and click Delete to confirm.
Delete Records in Bulk:
1. Navigate to the list page for the record type you want to delete. You can go to the Candidates, Contacts, Companies, Jobs, or Deals list page.
2. Select the records you want to delete by checking the checkbox on the left side of each row. To select all records on the page, use the checkbox beside the column header. You can use the 'Select 3000 records' button to select 3000 records at a time.
3. Click the ellipses icon (...) and then click Delete.
4. A confirmation pop-up will appear. Enter the number of records to be deleted and click Delete to confirm.
The method for deleting records is the same for all the entities(candidates, contacts, jobs, companies and deals).
📌 Note: The confirmation step requires you to enter the exact number of records being deleted. This is intentional and helps prevent accidental bulk deletions.
