How to use Direct Apply for Indeed

This article will guide you through using Direct Apply when posting jobs to Indeed.

When you post jobs to Indeed through Recruit CRM, you can decide whether candidates apply directly through Direct Apply, or they get redirected to another page to complete the application.

Using Direct Apply when posting Jobs to Indeed

1. Go to the job you want to post, and click on Advertise Job.:

2. You can edit the pre-filled name of your campaign, or simply click Continue to keep it as is:

3. On the Added Contracts page, you’ll see all your connected job board accounts.

How to add your Indeed contract to your job advertising subscription

This is a one-time setup to configure your Indeed contract.

To enable posting to Indeed by using your own account and budget with Indeed, please follow these steps:

  1. Fill in the linked form. Do not create the contract yourself.

  2. VONQ will validate the company information with Indeed.

  3. After validation is complete, you will receive your sourceName over email.

  4. You can now create the contract and input the obtained sourceName

  5. After you create the contract, your connection will be activated, and you can start posting jobs.

Please note: In order for your jobs to be visible to potential candidates, once sent from your ATS, must be sponsored from your Indeed company admin portal. You can manage sponsorship directly on your Indeed account, either manually or by setting up rules in your Indeed dashboard. This contract setup is not meant for organic/free advertising on Indeed.

4. Click Add to Campaign under your Indeed contract.


5. You’ll be asked to select or create a "Groups". These are inbuilt (via VONQ) and act as folders for job board contracts, allowing only one contract per job board type per group.

You’ll see existing options like a Default group and a Test group, or you can create a new group and rename it as needed. Once added, you can save the changes, as well as rename or remove the group.

5. Once you’ve filled in all the details for your posting, scroll down to Application Type.


Here, choose Indeed Apply.

Finally hit the "Confirm & Post Job" button.

Please note
If a job is posted to Indeed through Recruit CRM without the “Direct Apply” option selected, candidates will not complete the application directly on Indeed. Instead, they will be redirected to the job application form page, where they can submit their application through your Recruit CRM career page or application form.

Any questions you want candidates to answer when applying via Direct Apply must be added to the Job Application Form:
