What does this feature do & when to use it?
The parent–child company relationship feature in Recruit CRM lets you link companies together as parent and subsidiary (child) records.
You can:
Set one company as the primary parent company.
Link other companies as secondary or subsidiary (child) companies.
Create these links one by one from the company profile.
Create these links in bulk while importing companies using a CSV or XLS file.
Identify whether the company you are viewing has a parent company.
View all contacts grouped together for related parent and subsidiary companies.
See subsidiary or child companies listed on the parent company profile page.
This helps you manage complex client organizations where multiple entities belong to the same group.
Before you begin
Make sure you have access to the company’s details view so you can open the company profile and use the three dots menu.
Prepare your CSV or XLS file carefully if you plan to link parent and child companies during import. The file should contain a column that clearly lists the parent company for each subsidiary.
Ensure that the parent company names in your sheet match the company names you intend to use as parents in Recruit CRM, so the mapping to the “parent company name” field works correctly.
Method 1: Link parent and child companies from the company profile:
On the company details view, click the three-dot icon (more options menu).
From the menu that appears, choose the option to link the company to its parent or child company.
After you have completed the linking on those companies, you will see whether the company is related to a parent company when you view its profile.
Method 2: Link parent and child companies during import:
Prepare your CSV or XLS file with all the companies you want to import, including a column that contains the parent company for each subsidiary company.
Start the company import process in Recruit CRM and upload your CSV or XLS file.
During the import mapping step, map each column in your sheet to its respective field in Recruit CRM.
Specifically, map the column in your sheet that contains the parent company to the “parent company name” field in Recruit CRM.
Complete the import so that Recruit CRM can create the companies and link them as parent and child based on the mapped parent company name column.
Once you have assigned a parent or subsidiary company through this import process, you can view all contacts grouped together in the “Group Contacts” section on the company profile.
On the parent company profile page, you will be able to see the subsidiary or child companies listed, confirming the parent–child relationships you set up.
Conclusion:
The parent–child company relationship feature in Recruit CRM helps you organize and manage complex company structures by connecting parent organizations with their subsidiaries. Whether added individually or through bulk imports, these links make it easier to track related companies, view grouped contacts, and maintain a clear overview of business relationships within an organization.
