The AI Website Builder in Recruit Craft helps you create a complete website for your recruitment agency by answering a series of guided questions. It generates your website’s layout, colors, fonts, content, sections, and pages based on your responses. You can then refine the design using the AI chat or edit the website manually before publishing it.
What this feature does and when to use it?
The AI Website Builder creates an original website based on your agency’s requirements rather than relying on a predefined website template. It considers your agency’s sectors, target audience, preferred tone, and brand colors to generate a website that reflects your preferences.
Once your website is generated, you can use the AI chat to redesign entire pages by describing the changes you want. You can also use the AI chat on existing Recruit Craft websites that were not generated using AI.
This feature is useful when you want to:
Create a complete agency website without designing every page from scratch.
Generate website content and layouts based on your agency’s brand and requirements.
Redesign an existing page by describing the desired result.
Generate additional pages for an existing website.
Before you begin
Job listings: Jobs on your website sync directly from Recruit CRM. The AI Website Builder does not generate sample job listings.
Availability: AI generation availability depends on your plan. Free plan accounts receive a limited number of credits to try the AI Website Builder.
Browser tab: Keep the browser tab open while AI generates a page. You can switch to another tab or work on something else, but closing the tab stops the generation, and the page being generated will be lost.
How to create a website using AI
Step 1: Start the AI chat
Log in to Recruit Craft and open the Projects page.
Click Build Website with AI in the top right corner.
Recruit Craft opens a new project with the AI chat on the left side of the screen.
Step 2: Answer the guided questions
The AI chat asks a series of questions to understand your agency and website requirements. These typically cover:
Agency name and operating locations.
Recruitment sectors.
Target audience, such as clients, candidates, or both.
Preferred website style, such as corporate, modern, editorial, or warm.
Visual preferences, including light or dark themes.
How your brand colors should be used.
Additional pages to generate alongside the home page.
For each question, select one of the suggested options or enter your own response in the Type here field. AI may ask follow up questions to clarify your preferences. At the end, you can provide any additional details you want it to consider.
Tip: Provide specific answers to help AI generate a website that better reflects your agency. For example, mention your brand colors by name or describe the tone you use when communicating with clients.
Step 3: Generate your website
Once you have answered the questions, AI plans the website structure and generates the home page first. This includes the shared navigation and footer, which establish the visual style for the remaining pages.
While a page is being generated, the canvas displays a Do not close this tab message. You can follow the generation progress in the AI chat. To view the actions AI has performed, click on the dropdown of the last action.
Once the home page is ready, AI summarizes the generated content and offers to create the remaining pages. You can continue in the chat to generate these pages or describe any changes you want to make first.
📌 Please note:
AI can generate up to 10 pages at a time. Once the current set is complete, you can ask AI to generate additional pages whenever required.
Step 4: Review and complete your website
Use the page selector at the top of the canvas to review the generated pages. You can edit the generated content and design manually in the editor, just like any other Recruit Craft website.
Some elements need to be added manually:
Images: AI adds image placeholders where images are required. Click a placeholder to upload your own image.
Forms and CMS content: Contact forms and sections connected to Recruit CRM data are not generated by AI. Add these manually from Sections in the left sidebar.
Step 5: Redesign a page using AI
You can use the AI chat to redesign a page on your website, whether it was generated by AI or created manually.
Click the AI icon at the top of the left sidebar to open the AI chat.
Click New Chat to start a new conversation, or continue in an existing chat.
Describe how you want the page to look or what content it should include. For example, you could ask AI to use a darker theme with orange accents and add a section about your agency’s engineering specialisms.
Review AI’s response and confirm when prompted before it replaces the page.
Once you confirm, AI redesigns the page based on your prompt and saves the result automatically.
📌 Please note:
AI redesigns the entire page based on your prompt and does not read the page’s existing content. Describe everything you want the redesigned page to include, not just the changes you want to make.
If you want to change or remove only one section without affecting the rest of the page, edit that section manually in the editor. Changes to the header or footer apply across every page of your website.
Step 6: Preview and publish your website
AI does not publish your website automatically. Generated websites are saved as Unpublished.
When you are ready to make your website live:
Click Preview to review the website.
Make any required changes.
Click Publish to publish your website.
What AI does not generate or change
The AI Website Builder has some limitations to keep in mind:
Career pages: The Job Listing, Job Description, Job Application, and Candidate Portal pages use Recruit Craft’s existing career page templates. AI selects a template for these pages but does not generate or redesign them.
Images: AI adds placeholders that you must replace with your own images.
Connected sections: Contact forms and CMS sections must be added manually.
SEO settings: AI does not modify your website’s SEO settings.
Individual sections: AI redesigns an entire page at a time. It cannot change or remove an individual section without affecting the rest of the page.
Publishing: You must publish the website manually when it is ready.
