What this feature does and when to use it?
The AI Candidate Summary Generator uses information in a candidate’s profile such as name, title, skills, work experience, and education history to automatically create a concise and structured summary.
When to use this feature?
You need a quick, professional summary of a candidate for internal review or client submissions.
You want consistent candidate summaries across your team and processes.
You need to save time preparing candidate overviews from detailed profiles.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Candidate Record:
Before generating a summary, ensure the following required fields are completed on the candidate record:
Candidate name (required)
Title (required)
Skills (at least one skill required)
For a more detailed and accurate summary, also fill in:
Work experience history
Education details
Any other relevant profile fields
💡 Tip: The more complete the candidate profile, the more comprehensive and useful the generated summary will be. A profile with only the three required fields will produce a brief output. Adding work history and education significantly improves the depth of the result.
Step 2: Generate the Candidate Summary:
Scroll a bit down to locate the Candidate Summary section.
Click the AI Assist button to trigger generation. The system will use all available candidate data to produce a concise summary.
Review the generated summary. If the output is too brief or not specific enough, add more details to the candidate record, then click the Regenerate button again to regenerate.
Step 3: Use the Generated Summary
After the summary is generated, you will see three options:
Copy: Copy the generated text to your clipboard for use in external documents or emails.
Insert: Insert the summary directly into the candidate's Summary field in Recruit CRM.
Regenerate: Generate a new version of the summary to explore alternative outputs or fine-tune the result.
Step 4: Refine with Custom Prompts
After the summary is generated, you can enter a custom prompt to guide the AI toward a more specific or tailored output.
To enter a custom prompt, type your instruction in the prompt input area below the generated summary and apply it. The AI will refine the output based on your instructions.
Step 5: Save and Manage Prompts
Prompts that work well can be saved for future reuse, so you do not have to retype them each time.
Click the Save icon next to the prompt input area.
Enter a clear and descriptive name for the prompt so you and your teammates can identify it easily.
Choose whether to share the prompt with your team by toggling the Share with Teammates option on or off.
Click Save. The prompt will appear in the Saved Prompts section for future use.
To manage your saved prompts:
Open the Saved Prompts section to view all stored prompts.
Click any saved prompt to apply it directly to the current summary generation.
Click the pin icon next to any prompt to pin it to the top of the list for faster access. Click it again to unpin.
