How to Review Assigned Candidates with AI Using Recruit CRM MCP

Every assigned candidate gets weighed against the job description and ranked by fit, with a plain-language reason behind each call. The AI only ever recommends

whether a candidate advances or is screened out is a decision you make and confirm

yourself, never an automated one.

1. You need to have access to Claude/ChatGPT/Perplexity (web, desktop, or mobile app) with the Recruit CRM MCP connector added to respective Claude/ChatGPT/Perplexity account.

2. Recruit CRM MCP is available only on the Business and Enterprise plans.

3.The job you're reporting on should have an active pipeline with candidates in more than one hiring stage.

4. By default, Account Owners and Admins have MCP access. Users on custom roles with access to MCP can also have MCP access.

Step 1. Open AI assistants like Claude/ChatGPT/Perplexity and confirm the Recruit CRM MCP Connector Is Active:

Log into Claude/ChatGPT/Perplexity and check that the Recruit CRM MCP connector appears as a connected source in the AI assistant's settings.

If the Recruit CRM MCP connector isn't connected yet:

Step 2. Ask Claude/ChatGPT/Perplexity to Retrieve the Job Description and Assigned Candidates:

Start a new chat with the AI Assistant and ask it to pull up the job by title and Job ID.

The AI Assistant will use the Recruit CRM MCP connector to read the job description and every candidate currently assigned to that job.

Step 3. Ask Claude/ChatGPT/Perplexity to Score and Rank the Candidates:

Once the AI Assistant has the job description and assigned candidates, ask it to evaluate them. For example: "Score each assigned candidate against the job description. Tell me who looks like a strong match and who doesn't, with a one-line reason for each — don't move anyone's stage, I'll decide and confirm the moves myself."

Claude/ChatGPT/Perplexity only ever recommends a stage move in either direction; whether a candidate advances or is screened out is a decision you make and confirm yourself.

Step 4. Review the Ranked List:

Claude/ChatGPT/Perplexity will return a ranked read on every assigned candidate, marking each as a strong match or not, with a one-line reason for the call. No candidate's stage will have been moved automatically.

Step 5. Confirm Any Stage Moves:

If you agree with a recommendation, tell Claude/ChatGPT/Perplexity directly which candidates to move, for example: "Move the top 3 to Shortlisted." Claude/ChatGPT/Perplexity will only move a candidate's stage after you've confirmed it.
